Gap Ministries provide resources or services to meet ongoing needs that are not currently being met by agencies or partner churches – to “fill in the gaps.”
What Are Gap Ministries?
If gaps in care arise in the community, Love INC collaborates with partner churches to form new ministries that can address those needs. When we come together and ‘fill in the gaps’, we can better meet the needs of our neighbors, and provide well-rounded care to our clients.

Clothes Closet
The Love INC Clothes Closet offers an open door to community members in need of clothing and accessories. Supported by local churches and donations, the store provides a welcoming environment where individuals can choose gently used items at no cost. This fosters a spirit of dignity and self-sufficiency, helping people navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

Car Clinic
One Saturday every month, volunteer mechanics from partner churches offer their time and expertise to repair cars for free. Love INC can often obtain parts for the repairs at a reduced price from generous local auto parts stores. We ask Car Clinic participants to help pay for these parts, but the labor is free. We can’t fix every car problem, but there are a lot of things we can help with. This important ministry is always looking for more mechanically inclined volunteers!

Furniture Ministry
Empty house? Let us help make it a home. This ministry helps meet household furniture needs. Donors provide furniture items, and partner church volunteers deliver them to your home for free.

Firewood Ministry
Winters can be brutally cold. Our Firewood Ministry is here to help keep you warm. Firewood is provided by donors and delivered by partner church volunteers.

Linen Ministry
The Linen Ministry is a service provided by Love INC and local partner churches. Together, we provide free bedsheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels, and washcloths to individuals and families who are in need.

Personal Care Closet
The Personal Care Closet provides free personal care items to people in need. All items are donated by the community.
Items in the Personal Care Closet: toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, laundry basket, shampoo/bath wash, lotion, wipes, diapers, pull-ups, hand/body lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, band-aids, lip balm, Q-tips, hair brushes/combs, deodorant, and razors.

Computer Ministry
In our world today, computers are often a necessity for both school and work. Through generous donations from community members and the tech skills of volunteers, our Computer Ministry can provide fully functional, refurbished computers to those in need at no cost.

Holding Cross Ministry
Holding crosses are small wooden crosses with smoothed edges, held in hand for comfort or prayer. The crosses and the fabric bags they come in are handmade by partner church volunteer carpenters and seamstresses. We share them with people in need of spiritual support and given to the hospital chaplain to use as well.

Quilting Ministry
A handmade quilt is a treasure to have. One of our clients recently received one from our Quilting Ministry and she wrote the sweetest note thanking us for the gift. She had never owned a quilt before and couldn’t believe someone would make one and give it to her for free.
